Reported from Sharp Island, Hoi Ha Wan (Ref. 94637); and Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329). Also reported from from A Ma Wan in Tung Ping Chau, at depth a depth range of 0 to 2.8 meters (Ref. 119714). Juveniles recorded from Starfish Bay, Three Fathoms Cove, and Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494).
